International Congress Advisory:

December 4, 2003, Wroclaw/Poland

December 1-4, 2003: AY International Congress Advisory – Wroclaw. During this days, more than 40 youth directors, coming from different countries of TED EUD, had held meetings to organize the AY International Youth Congress. Many decisions were token and it was formulated the structure of the Congress program. The next Congress Advisory will be hold in Wroclaw on March 7-8.

 Gilbert joined the Merchant Navy as a Cadet Officer after High School. He met Jesus while still at sea in December 1975 and came back home to Mauritius where he got involved in his local church as the youth leader. Gilbert moved to Australia in 1981 where he married his childhood sweetheart. They now have two children – Joel (18) and Emile (13).

Gilbert completed his pastoral training at Avondale College in 1987 and pastored churches for 5 years before being called to Youth Ministry in 1993. He has been the Director of Youth Ministries for the South Pacific Division at the end of 1998.

He has an interest in all sports, particularly soccer (Man United fan) and loves music He is the leader of the Underground Movement that is reshaping the Church in the South Pacific Division. His secret ambition is to see youth take hold of the mission of the church and stand up as an army for Jesus to bring hope and meaning to our futile world.
